Rolls-Royce reveals Wraith and Dawn ‘Adamas’ Collection

Rolls-Royce reveals Wraith and Dawn ‘Adamas’ for watching, subscribe for more videos.

‘Adamas’, we’re reliably informed, means ‘untameable’, ‘invincible’ and ‘diamond’. At least in one very specific corner of Surrey. And you know, Ancient Greece. Which is why the ‘Adamas’ Collection of Black Badge Rolls Wraiths and Dawns get many, many diamonds among other modifications that use “technical fibres and molecular compounds”, which are “manipulated and recognised for their systematic, beguiling beauty”. Fibres and compounds like carbon, erm… fibre, from which Rolls has machined the Spirit of Ecstasy(s) that will sit proud atop the bonnets of all 40 Wraiths and 30 Dawns it plans to build. The “entrancing figures” are made from 294 layers of aerospace-grade carbon with a weave angle of precisely 25 degrees. Because Rolls-Royce. The whole thing takes 68 hours to produce and sits on a special, titanium base.   Inside the clock is adorned with 88 laboratory-grown diamonds in the shape of an infinity symbol to provide “a jewellery-like reminder of the restless spirits of the inhabitants of these motor cars”. But perhaps the showiest addition is the roof lining, which is studded with ,340 fibre optic lights in the form of the “molecular structure of carbon as it becomes a diamond” instead of the usual starry sky. Add to this special leather, trim and paint, and you’ve got, well, a very expensive car indeed. Get your order in quick.
